After being away for a long time, Louis returns home to meet his family. He chooses a different life than the “small town” life of his family, which he has been estranged from for years, communicating with it only through as his sister calls them “elliptical” postcards. Even though the family is now in the same house filled up with memories, they seem to be so far from each other. Craving to reach each other’s understanding and compassion, they are confronted with new images of others and themselves.
